The world has entered an era of global boiling, and various stakeholders have begun to recognise the importance of achieving the global goal of limiting temperature rise to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels. Based on the 1.5°C Roadmap to be developed by IGES, this session will discuss the following questions: "Is it possible to achieve emission reductions in Japan that is consistent with the 1.5°C target?", "Is it possible to achieve ambitious emission reductions and achieve a prosperous society at the same time?", and "What actions are needed?"
